Heavy Forging Shipment: ACE Group Delivers Large Rolls and Shaft Forgings

2026-07-08

In the heavy industrial manufacturing sector, a qualified product's journey does not end the moment the machine stops running. From forging and heat treatment to precision machining and final shipment, every stage determines whether a product reaches its customer safely and intact. At the production base of ACE Group in Yancheng, Jiangsu, a batch of large forged rolls and shaft components has recently completed all processing stages and is now being loaded for shipment to overseas customers, marking another order entering its final delivery phase.

On Site: Loading and Shipment

Inside a spacious, well lit heavy duty workshop, rows of precision turned forged rolls are neatly stacked on dedicated wooden support frames. Their surfaces show a uniform metallic sheen, and steel straps are wrapped around each piece to keep them secure during transport. Overhead cranes and a red flatbed transport vehicle stand ready in the workshop, working together with forklifts and lifting equipment to move finished products from the production floor to the loading area.

As shown above, the products are large in size and heavy in unit weight, representing core components typically used in heavy industrial equipment. These forgings demand extremely high standards for internal density, concentricity, and surface accuracy, since any oversight at a single stage could shorten the operating life of the downstream equipment. Before loading, ACE Group conducts a final visual inspection on every unit to confirm there is no impact damage or corrosion before packaging and shipment.

Featured Products: Large Rolls and Shaft Forgings

This shipment mainly consists of two product categories: large forged rolls used in rolling mills and material handling equipment, and stepped shaft forgings used in heavy machinery transmission systems.

Stepped Shaft Forgings

As shown in the image below, these stepped shaft forgings have gone through rough machining, precision turning, and thread machining, among other processes. The shaft surfaces are smooth, the step transitions are well finished, and precision threaded connections are machined at the ends, making them suitable for transmission systems that require strict concentricity and assembly tolerances.

Large Roll Forgings

Roll type products are commonly used in rolling, transport, and crushing equipment, and must withstand long term, high load operation, which places high demands on fatigue strength and wear resistance of the material. Inside the workshop, rows of roll forgings with finished bore machining are arranged in sequence, and the precision of both the bore and outer diameter directly determines how smoothly the equipment will run once assembled.

Before shipment, finished products are stored in the designated staging area according to order requirements. Key mating surfaces on some products are also wrapped in moisture resistant paper to prevent corrosion or surface damage during storage and transport.
