Shear pin flange housing
The shear pin in a shear pin flange primarily serves a safety protection function. When the transmission system of feed machinery encounters abnormal conditions such as overload or jamming, the shear pin will shear off first, thereby cutting off power transmission and preventing more expensive or vulnerable components (e.g., motors, gears) from being damaged. Similar to a fuse in an electrical circuit, it acts as a sacrificial safety component.
The precision of the pin hole reaches 0.01mm, which is designed to ensure the assembly accuracy between the shear pin, the flange, and the flange seat. High-precision holes guarantee the accuracy and stability of the shear pin when transmitting torque, avoiding premature damage or failure of the shear pin caused by excessive assembly clearance. Meanwhile, high-precision holes also help improve the operational accuracy and reliability of the entire mechanical system
