Hydraulic Turbine Guide Vane

Hydro turbine guide vanes (also referred to as "guide blades") are the core components for regulating and controlling water flow in hydro turbines. They enable precise flow rate adjustment and power control, adapting to the dynamic changes of power grid loads. In terms of appearance, they feature an annular structure with multiple layers of blades that have a certain curvature.
Such components typically require excellent mechanical properties, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance. Common materials used include alloy structural steel, stainless steel, precipitation-hardening stainless steel (17-4PH/15-5PH), or corrosion-resistant cobalt-based alloys. These materials ensure the guide vanes can adapt to the operating conditions of hydro turbines under different water heads and water qualities, thereby guaranteeing the efficient and stable operation of the hydro turbine.
